Ross Selinger has spent twenty years working in real estate. As the founder of Selinger Enterprises. Inc. in 1996, he is the owner of the longest established tenant/buyer representation firm currently operating in Long Island, New York.
Prior to establishing Selinger Enterprises, Inc., Ross was a leasing consultant with Steven Fine Associates, a leading Long Island corporate real estate consulting firm. He was responsible for representing the tenant’s interests in structuring and negotiating new leases. Prior to this, he was in charge of developing a database of Long Island companies for Polimeni Enterprises. His department was responsible for generating up-to-date availability and market information for the client database.
Costar Realty Group, a leading provider of information services to the commercial real estate industry in the United States, has recognized Ross as being a “Top Power Broker” who has been featured in the New York Times, Newsday and the Long Island Business News. Recently, Ross was the local broker to provide tenant representation services for National Financial Network, a subsidiary of Guardian Life Insurance, for their new, nearly 20,000 square feet, Long Island headquarters.
Ross currently is the founder and President of LIBA, the Long Island Business Associates. LIBA is Long Island’s premier resource of service providers for a wide cross-section of industries. Commencing in 2001, LIBA has grown to almost thirty members and holds an annual gala event as a fundraiser for Childlife, an organization dedicated to helping children who are patients at Schneider Children’s Hospital. Ross is also a member of the following organizations: LISTnet, Long Island Association, ACIT, Hauppauge Industrial Association, and the Commercial-Industrial Brokers Society
Ross has served on ITRA’s Board for the past eight years as its Vice-Chairman. He is also ITRA’s Newsletter Chair and editor, as well as the recipient of ITRA’s Altruism Award in 2000 for his work in organizing regional alliances.
Ross has an active New York State Brokers License and participates in ongoing continuing education classes at New York University. He graduated with a Master of Industrial Design degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and utilizes his background as a designer to fine-tune his clients’ office layouts. He also graduated from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972.
