John is President and CEO of Synergy Real Estate Group, Corporate Advisory, headquartered in San Diego, CA. Synergy assists small businesses to large corporations for all of their real estate needs. Over his 30 year career, John has completed national and international acquisitions and lease transactions totaling more than $30.2 million square feet and assets over $1 billion value. His background includes corporate and tenant representation including leasing, subleasing, renewals, acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to founding Synergy in 2004, John served in leadership positions with Oxford Development, CB Richard Ellis, Cushman & Wakefield and Ernst & Young LLP, Real Estate Advisory Services. He was an appointee of the Governor of California in Real Estate, where he oversaw two public/private commercial development ventures between the State of California and Cisco Systems and Sun Microsystems. He also led the development projects of the CAL-EPA building and the Teale Data Center. John was born and raised in Sacramento and graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of the Pacific. He has taken postgraduate courses in real estate and finance at the University of California, Berkeley and at Stanford University. John is a California licensed real estate broker.
